Condolence: Dr. Bates and Connie are very dear to my husband Andy and myself. He taught at Stephens College, as did my husband and he married Andy and I in the way we wanted to be married on September 14, 1979. He was inspirational, walked a path of honor, kindness, compassion and truth. Very dear person. His integrity was absolute. A true man of God. Andy and I were very happy to receive annual Christmas Cards from Connie and Les and that they were so happy to be with their family. We certainly missed their presence in our lives. Condolence: What a full and wonderful life this gentleman had. I didn't know him well, but recall the few times in the early 1970s when I was with Ellen at the pretty home tucked back in Timberhill Road. I thought your whole family kind, gentle, and loving.
