Walter Fletcher, Jr., 84, of Swannanoa, went home to be with our Lord, Monday, June 16, 2014.
Mr. Fletcher was the son of the late Elizabeth and Walter Fletcher, Sr. He was a member of Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church. He worked most of his life at Britt and Tilson Glass Company, formerly Harrison’s Auto Glass, for 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Settles Fletcher; daughter, Janet Goodson; grandson, Jeffrey Scott Banks; and great granddaughter, Madison Banks.
Walter is survived by his brothers, Bill Flethcer (Betty) and Tommy Fletcher (Mabelanne); granddaughter, Marsha Tickle; great granddaughter, Rachael Tickle; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with B.P. Boyle officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
