Marjory Ann Linton, age 89, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Lanier Village Estates in Gainesville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Dwight Linton, Sr. in 2010.
A service and burial will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd, 11:00 a.m. at Harwood Home for Funerals, Black Mountain, NC for family and close friends.
On Wednesday, September 24th a memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church, Flowery Branch, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.
Marjory was born on July 19, 1925 in Orlando, Florida. She met her husband, Dwight in Atlanta and was married in 1950. In 1953, they were called to the mission field and spent the next 25 years as missionaries in Korea.
She is survived by her sons, Tom Linton and wife Ruth, Chuck Linton and wife Lori Leinbach, Sam Linton and wife Yvonne; daughters, Beth Arms and husband Peter, Linda Cass and husband Jim; grandchildren,
Will Linton, Charlotte Tully,
Robyn Stanley, Phillip and Leah Arms, Brian and Mark Kelly, Jimmy and Jeana Cass, Kyle and Nicolas Linton; great grandchildren,
Caitlynn, Clair, William and Bree.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Christian Friends of Korea,
Eagle Ranch or Choice Pregnancy Care Center.
