Pennie L. Arnold, 70, of Swannanoa, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015.
Mrs. Arnold was born December 18, 1944 in California. She has been a resident of the Swannanoa Valley since 1997. Pennie enjoyed mission work, and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Pennie will be missed by all who knew her.
Pennie is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Iris Neyman Baldwin; and sister, Sherry Hornaday.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ron Arnold; daughter, Marcella Calloway of Black Mountain; son, Brian Arnold (Tracey) of Florida; brother, Edwin S. Baldwin of Alabama; and five grandchildren, Willow, Izabella, and Eden Arnold, Kayla and Landon Calloway.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Bolick officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
Burial will be in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.
