Hazel Robertson Conner, 96, of Swannanoa, formerly of Pigeon Forge, TN passed away Monday, February 2, 2015.
Mrs. Conner was born December 20, 1918 in Sevier County, TN and had been a resident of Buncombe County for over 70 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Swannanoa and was employed with Beacon Mfg. Co. with over 40 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Sarah Rambo Robertson; husband of 77 years, Swinfield Walter Conner; and nine brothers and sisters.
Hazel is survived by her daughters, Patricia Conner Martin (Henry) of Fairview, NC and Linda Conner Powell (Bobby) of Sanford, NC; son, Robert Conner (Becky) of Hendersonville, NC; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Swannanoa with Rev. Anthony Scott Norton officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain, NC.
