Obituary for Gertrud "Trudi" McCall

Gertrud “Trudi” McCall, 77, of Black Mountain went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
She no longer is in pain but in her words is at “peace”. She is reunited with her loving husband, Larry O’Neil McCall in heaven. Trudi was a devoted and loving wife, mom, Mimi, and friend.
She was a native of Koln, Germany and was the wife of a 27-year Air Force Veteran.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Margarete and Wilhelm Wolff.
Trudi is survived by her daughter, Margie Padgett (Wayne); grandson, Brandon Padgett (Tiffany); granddaughter, Brittany Padgett; and great-grandson, Titus O’Neil Padgett.
We will see you in the morning, Mimi. Wir lieben dich! “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:7.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 12:30pm at Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Asheville Specialty Hospital in Trudi’s name.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at Asheville Specialty Hospital, you were her favorites.
