Monty Whitaker, 60, of Black Mountain, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Monty was born August 16, 1957 in Beaufort County, NC to the late Nestus and Evelyn Wiggs. She has been a resident of Buncombe County all of her adult life. Monty loved working at Tops for Shoes and Cragmont Assembly.
Monty is survived by her daughter, Amelia Sluder (Sherman) of Fairview; son, Daniel Wiggs (Autumn) of Black Mountain; sister, Ann Davis (James) of Beulaville, NC; grandchildren, Izabelle, Skylar, Cailyn, and Evie; and aunt, Betty Jo Hensley of Jacksonville, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Cragmont Assembly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cragmont Assembly, 1233 North Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
