Obituary for Evelyn Burris Brank
Evelyn Burris Brank, 92, of Merritt Island, FL, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on January 3, 2019.
A native of Swannanoa, NC, Evelyn was born June 28, 1926 to the late Joe B. Rice, Sr. and Lillie Rice. She retired from the Alcohol Treatment Center and was a member of Swannanoa United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church of Cocoa, FL.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, JB Rice, Bud Rice and James M. Rice.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jackie Cabe; children, Gary Burris (Marsha), Bobbie Stanley (David), and Joe C. Burris (Brenda); brother, Leon Rice; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church, 204 Blue Ridge Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Swannanoa.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local hospice.
