Obituary for Jesse Truman Hollifield
Jesse Truman Hollifield, 80, of Black Mountain, passed away January 4, 2019.
Mr. Hollifield was born November 25, 1938 in Madison County to the late Ernest and Ethel Fore Hollifield. He served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1959 and retired from Kearfott after 32 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dayton Hollifield; and several aunts and uncles.
Truman is survived by his sister, Diane Gilliam (Stan); brother, Jim Hollifield (Becky); nephews and niece, Brandon Moore (Lindsay), Dale Hollifield (Denise), and Sheri Hollifield; one great nephew; five great nieces; one aunt; one uncle; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals with a celebration of life service immediately following with Rev. Frank Cantrell officiating.
A private graveside service and burial will be at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
