Hal V. Peek, 82, of Black Mountain passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014.
Mr. Peek was born February 20, 1932 in Madison County to the late Ernest Peek and Irene Fox.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Hal was a member of the Nazarene Church and attended Swannanoa Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Charles Alan Peek.
Hal is survived by his wife, Ruby Hodge Peek; son, Michael Lewis Peek and his wife Rebecca; daughter-in-law, Deborah Peek; sister, Pat Wallin; brother, Gordon Peek; four granddaughters, and 11 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:30am at Swannanoa Church of God with Rev. Ronald Owensby officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon in the WNC State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
