Evelyn Dix Wheelon, 72, of Black Mountain passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015.
Mrs. Wheelon was born November 27, 1942 to the late Jack and Sadie Dix.
She retired from Kearfott with over 35 years of service.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, Hazel Pruett and Irvin Dix.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gene Wheelon; daughter, Kim Silver (Charles); son, Michael Wheelon (Shelly); sisters, Helen Mabe and Brenda King; grandchildren, Anthony and Heather Silver and Tara Wheelon.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10:00am in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
