Condolence From: Vicki
Condolence: Moma..It is after 1 am on Sunday morning..you have been gone a little over 72 hours..still hard to believe how fast it happened..getting ready to go to bed, but dreading it because I know when I get up, it will be time to go to the church..I know, without a doubt, that you are with Jesus, daddy, and all your loved ones..you are so happy..but my world seems so empty.. The last 5 years have been rough for you and I am so glad you are out of that wheelchair. and walking.. I love you, Moma..and I will miss you everyday until I see you again...

Condolence From: Carol (Gowan) & Terry Medley
Condolence: I'm so saddened to learn of Mary's passing but I know she is a child of God and she is with our Father in eternity now...some sweet day we will rejoice and see her and our loved ones again. Mary & her precious family were our neighbors when I was a little girl. I have many fond memories of spending time at Mary's home where she spoiled us with her wonderful homemade treats & sodas which was a luxury at that time. My sister and I used to put make-up on her (lots of it)and tease & "style" her hair. We thought we did a terrific job and loved how "beautiful" we had made her when in reality we didn't do such a good job as she was already beautiful. Believe me, what we did to her did not add to her beauty but she pretended it did. Mary and our mama would brag on how beautiful we had made Mary and we would just beam with pride. At Christmas time Mary would make her delicious Date Nut Cake with cream cheese frosting and gift it to our family...some times I think we actually fought over the cake as it was the best ever. I make it at Thanksgiving and/or Christmas and when I do my mind drifts back to sweet Mary and how she shared her wonderful cooking with our family. Everyone should be so lucky to have had an awesome neighbor like Mary in their lives. Her entire family is precious and will always be loved by the Gowan Family of S Church Street...May God comfort you all and may you think back on your many wonderful memories of sweet Mary. God Bless All who reads this!
