Obituary for Gladys Lynch Logan

Gladys Lynch Logan, 77, of Black Mountain, went to be with Jesus on March 18, 2017.
A lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, she accepted Christ at age 16 at Mills Chapel Baptist Church and held numerous offices down through the years.
Gladys retired from the State of North Carolina with 37 years with the Department of Human Resources, Substance Abuse Program.
Gladys attended Catawba Valley Technical Institute in 1972, Blanton’s Junior College in 1982, South Western Technical College in 1985, AB Tech College in 1990 receiving a CNA Certification, AB Tech College and North Carolina Alcohol and Drug Studies in 1995 at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Gladys is survived by three brothers, Wallace Lynch, Winfred Lynch and Worth Lynch; sister, Julia Mae Edgerton; two sons, Karl Logan (Diana) and Kevin Logan (Mitzi); one daughter, Karol Speight (Anthony); and grandchildren, Morgan, Taelor, Derek, Dana, Chad, and Ashley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mills Chapel Baptist Church, 328 Cragmont Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711, on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 am with Reverends Herbert Grant and Bobby Hill officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
