Obituary for Agnes Cantrell (Watson)
Agnes Watson Cantrell, 98, of Black Mountain passed away Friday, May 12, 2023.
Mrs. Cantrell was born April 25, 1925 in Avery County to the late Dewey and Sarah Beam Watson. She was a member of Grove Stone Baptist Church and retired from Kearfott with over 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Cantrell; sons, Larry and Gary Cantrell; brothers, Amos, Lester, Jack and Ford Watson; sisters, Aileen Buchanan and husband, Buck and Angie Worley and husband, Mallie.
Left to cherish her memories is her son, Randy Cantrell (Debbie); sister, Pansy Greer (Charles); grandchildren, Michael Cantrell (Tanya), Chase Hampton (Jen); Brooke Woollett and Megan Hart (Chris); great-grandchildren, Tristan, Dakota, Kaitlyn, Alayna, Oliver, Maddox, Maddyn, and Tyler; daughter-in-law, Pat Hampton; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at Mountain View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grove Stone Baptist Church, 1568 Grove Stone Rd., Black Mountain, NC 28711.
