Obituary for Agnes M. Frazee

Agnes Frazee, age 94, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in Asheville, NC with her daughter by her side. Born January 16, 1928, in Jersey City, her family relocated a few years later to Cedarwood Park, NJ. Agnes attended Grammar School and High School in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. It was in High School that she met the love of her life, Gene Frazee. After their marriage in 1951, Gene and Agnes made their home in Point Pleasant in the house they built together. Agnes lived there until her recent relocation to Asheville, NC to be by her daughter.

Agnes was the matriarch of her family and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her sense of humor, quick wit and lovely smile were appreciated by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Agnes was employed by St. Peter’s Church in Point Pleasant where she worked for many years until her retirement. She immensely enjoyed this position and the people who worked there.

Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Gene Frazee, in 1992 after 41 years of marriage and by her brothers John and William Kimball, and sisters Elizabeth Hunter and Dolores Mooney. Agnes is survived by her brother Robert Kimball of Wildwood Crest, NJ, daughter Diane LaBaugh and her husband Tom of Pawleys Island, SC, daughter Suzanne Peebles and her husband Richard of Asheville, NC, son Gene Frazee and his wife Kathleen of Brick, NJ, her grandchildren Kate Peebles, Matt Peebles, TJ LaBaugh, Michael LaBaugh, and Christine Frazee as well as many nieces and nephews.
