Obituary for Albert Willard Foster
It is with great sadness that the family of Albert Willard Foster shares with you that he passed away on the morning of December 21, 2022 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.
Albert was born January 30, 1931 in Buncombe County to the late Dillard and Dollie Foster. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War. He also retired from Sears and Roebuck with 43 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Cole Foster; daughter, Amanda Foster Emory; sister, Marie Harris; brother, Paul Foster; and sons-in-law, Larry Douglas “Doug” King, Terry Lee Bartlett, Sr., and Donald Gay Emory.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Karen Foster Bartlett and Sherry Foster King; grandchildren, Terry Lee Bartlett, Melissa Gail Bartlett, Zachary Douglas King, Marissa Megan Coffey, Dara Brooke Emory, and Lori Suzanne Emory; several great grandchildren; and cherished friend, Melinda Ann Russell.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 2:00pm at Sky View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars or Brother Wolfe Animal Rescue.
