Barbara Marlow Ledbetter, 84, of Black Mountain, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on November 15, 2022.
One of 12 children, Barbara was born April 4, 1938, in Buncombe County to the late Ernest Marlow and Blanche Marlow White. She was a longtime resident of the Broad River community and former member of the Broad River Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She assisted her husband, Dean, with his Snap-On Tool business. Barbara loved sewing and making quilts and pillows and attended the High-Country Craft shows for many years. She never sat idle and was always attending to the needs of others. Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dean Ledbetter.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff Ledbetter and Susan Ledbetter; daughter-in-law and friend, Paula Kelley; sisters, Francis Hall, Faye Hollifield, Pat Hall, Geri Lamb, and Annie Sue Swann; brother-in-law, Jack Ledbetter; grandchildren, Jake and Hannah Ledbetter; one great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2:00pm at Bald Mountain Cemetery.
