Barbara Jewel Pressley, age 76 of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born to the late E.A. Lunsford and Elizabeth Pendley Lunsford in Asheville, NC, moved to the North Georgia area in 1971 and was of the Baptist faith. Barbara retired from the Norfolk Southern Corp., in 2013 after more than 25 years of employment. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her son, Scott Pressley and brothers, Vance Lunsford and Ernest Lunsford.
She is survived by her loving children, Kelly Taylor and her husband, Walt Taylor and Greg Pressley and his wife, Kara Bassily Pressley; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00pm in Piney Grove Cemetery, Swannanoa, NC.
