Betty “Charlene” Hipps, 66, of Swannanoa, NC, passed away May 15, 2022 at home in Johnson City, TN.
Charlene was born March 30, 1956 in Buncombe County to the late Lillian and Lloyd Phillips of Swannanoa. She was formerly employed with Beacon Manufacturing.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Hipps; and brother, Warren Phillips.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shannon Hipps of Marion and Ashley Hipps of Black Mountain; sister, Alice Phillips of Swannanoa; brother, Roger Phillips of Unicoi, TN; grandchildren, Kory and Andy Jeno; and great grandson, Max Jeno.
The family will hold a private service at Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremation Services. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park alongside her husband, Lynn Hipps.
