Obituary for Bobby Ray Rickman Sr.
Bobby Ray Rickman, Sr., 81, of Summerville, SC passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Summerville Community Hospice House in Summerville, SC.
Mr. Rickman was born in McDowell County, NC and lived in the Black Mountain and Swannanoa Valley most of his life until moving to Summerville, SC three years ago.
He served in the US Army for two years.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, George and Julia Rickman and sister, Billie Sue Atkins.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Betty Rickman; sons, Bobby Ray Rickman, Jr. (Keila) and Cecil D. Rickman (Nancy); daughter, Valerie Rickman-Reese (Todd); five grandchildren, Brittany Cole Rickman, Justin Reese (Samantha), Chelsea Rickman, Cody Reese (Danielle) and Shelby Rickman-Landreth (Michael); and two great grandchildren, Toren and Sawyer Reese.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00am at Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremation Services. Burial will follow in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
