Obituary for Brenda Elizabeth Bartlett
Brenda Elizabeth Bartlett, 79, of Black Mountain, passed away on November 29, 2022.
Brenda was born July 1, 1943 in Buncombe County. She retired from the State of NC and was a member of Homers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer of the church for over 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Atkins Butner; husband, Bruce Bartlett; and brother, Ronnie Linens.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bruce Bartlett (Kimberly) and Baxter Bartlett (Melissa); sisters, Johnnie Whisnant and Judy Butner; brother, Michael Butner; grandchildren, Hailey, Kirsten, Dallas, Brooklyn and Chesney Bartlett; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services.
A celebration of life service will be Monday, December 5, 2022 at 12:30pm at Homers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Mathis officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
