Obituary for Charles A. Kincaid Sr.
Charles A. Kincaid, Sr., 74, of Black Mountain and formerly of Lenoir/Morganton, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
Charles was born January 16, 1948 in Burke County to the late Charles Wilkins and Ophelia Kincaid. He loved fishing with his sons and spoiling his daughter and grandchildren. He was a veteran of the US Navy, retired from MDI with almost 20 years of service, and was a member of Dula Town Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony Kincaid and Donald Kincaid.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carolyn Myles of Black Mountain; children, Charles Kincaid, Jr. (Amy) of Morganton, Sean Kincaid of Suwanee, GA and Shavonn Ashford (Tony) of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Rosalyn Poston (Dennis), Karen Kincaid, and Sandra Flanders; brother, Eddie Kincaid; grandchildren, Ikea, Sean, Ezra, Vanessa, Viasha, Kylora, Andrew, Alana, Jada and Brandon; great grandson, EJ; special niece, Abbie and special friend, Rev. Harold Bennett and his wife, Etta.
Following his wishes, there will be no official services. Cards of sympathy can be mailed to Carolyn Myles, 206 W. College St., Black Mountain, NC 28711. The family requests everyone remember him by serving God and their fellow man.
