Obituary for Clara Mae Ogle (Smith)
Clara Mae Ogle, 93, of Swannanoa passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Mrs. Ogle was born May 18, 1929 in Yancey County to the late Carl and Mary Bernice Smith and lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a member of Swannanoa Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Ogle and three sisters, Agnes Taylor, Ena Kate Riddle and Dorothy Riddle.
Mrs. Ogle is survived by her daughters, Sharon Pittman (Greg) of Knightdale, NC and Joy Ward (Rick) of Johnson City, TN; sister, Ann Wilson (Willard); grandson, Jonathan Pittman (Mylene) and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Everleigh.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 2:00pm in Swannanoa Free Will Baptist Church with Reverends Bobby Shehan and Jack Ward officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
