Obituary for Clyde Davis

Clyde Davis, 78, of Black Mountain passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Mr. Davis was born January 8, 1944 in West Virginia to the late Kenneth and Lema Gowan Davis. He retired from Textron with over 25 years of service and attended Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, horses and learning to play the banjo.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Davis; sisters, Bettie Allen and Bernice Mundy and brothers, Doyle, Ray and Howard Davis.
Clyde is survived by his daughter, Christy Bailey; stepdaughter, Kelly Sluder (Evan); grandchildren, Taylor, Meaghan, Zachary, Victoria, Carson, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Lilly and Zoey; brothers-in-law, Edd Allen and Carl Mundy and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00pm in Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life service immediately following. Reverend Randy Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church, PO box 566, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff and nurses of Four Seasons Hospice for their loving care of Clyde during his declining health.
