Obituary for Diane Bell (Smith)
Diane “Di” Bell, 73, of Swannanoa passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Mrs. Bell was born September 30, 1947 in Buncombe County to the late Carmie and Pearl Pressley Smith.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Swannanoa and was employed with Westinghouse/Eaton Corp with 20 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Lou Breedlove and nephew, Mike Breedlove.
Di is survived by her husband, Jimmy Bell; children, Carmen Bell Myers (Chuck), Jamie Bell (Meghan), and Teri Bell Hall (Johnny); brother, James Smith; grandchildren, Autumn, Bryson, and Adeline; nieces and nephews, Matthew Breedlove, Krystal White, Teresa Suttles, Todd Smith, Chad Smith, Meaghan Saunders, Poconna Cuddington and Chris Smith; several great nieces and nephews and a host of close friends that will miss her dearly.
A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The service will be Facebook live at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Harwood Home for Funerals facebook page.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Mission ICU nurses and the doctors of Asheville Pulmonary for their care of Diane during this time.
