Dorothy Elaine Morrison, 91, went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2021, in Elmcroft, a loving and caring memory facility in Richmond, VA. She was born to the late William and Dorothy Raper in Weehawken, NJ on January 15, 1930.

In 1948, Elaine married the love of her life, George Douglas Morrison, who preceded her in death. Together they built a beautiful marriage and a loving family.

Elaine's greatest accomplishment in this world was the joy she found in being a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. She demonstrated unconditional love daily through caring for her family. She was a gifted seamstress, avid gardener, and talented interior home decorator.

Elaine was a devoted wife to George for 65 years and is survived by her four children, Susan Martin, Kathy Corless(Dave), Doug Morrison, Becky Dreiling (Paul), 6 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

As hard as it is to say goodbye to the physical presence of our Mom, Ginkum, and friend, we celebrate together knowing that she is with Jesus, her Lord, and Saviour and also reunited with her true love on this earth, Dad. We will miss her tremendously but know we will be together again in heaven one day.


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5 at Harwood Home for Funerals at 2:00 pm.
