Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Tettemer
Elizabeth “Betty” Tettemer, 75, of Fairview, left this world on Monday, January 27, 2020. A native of New Jersey, Betty has called Fairview, NC her home for close to 25 years.
A most loved wife, sister, mother, daughter and friend, Betty was born on January 5, 1945 to the late John and Betty (Kinsel) Seitz. She is predeceased by her oldest son, Bruce Tettemer, Jr.; and also her brother.
Betty is survived by her husband, Bruce C. Tettemer, Sr.; her 4 children, Russell Schmeiss and his wife Dawn, Brian Tettemer and his wife Melissa, Dawn Sigafoos and her husband Jim, and youngest daughter Cari Schmeiss; as well as two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and her four Springer Spaniels: Bugsy, Angel, Nissi and Josh.
Betty has had a full and fruitful life, gifting everyone she met with her gentle nature, beautiful smile and generous spirit. The family asks that she be remembered in that light, and not with sadness. If desired, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
Burial was held in Mountain View Memorial Park on January 28, 2020.
