Obituary for Eunice Melton Shotwell (Frady)
Eunice Melton Shotwell went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was 92 years old. Eunice was born on July 25, 1927.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Timothy Shotwell; parents, McKinley and Jane Frady of Black Mountain; 7 siblings; and children, Hettie Melton, Mark Melton and Margaret Melton.
Eunice is survived by her children, Doug (Deborah) Melton of Black Mountain; Dianne (Larry) Moore of Old Fort, and Debra (Ray) Lynch of North Myrtle Beach, SC; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Eunice professed her life to Christ at an early age and lived her days serving and cherishing the Lord’s work; spending time with family and friends and loving, caring and giving for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and granny who always put others before herself.
Services will be held at Harwood Home for Funerals, 208 West State Street, Black Mountain, NC on Thursday, August 29, 2019 with a wake at 1:00pm and the service following at 1:30pm.
