Obituary for Grace Katherine Drummond

Born Ekaterina Alexandrovna Vishneva on April 11, 1997 in Kaliningrad, Russia. Grace passed away on December 6, 2019.

Grace became part of the Drummond family when she and her twin sister Joy came to the United States December 24, 2004.

She attended Startown Elementary and Jacobs Fork Middle School in Newton NC before her family moved to Black Mountain in 2011. She continued with Owen Middle School and graduated from Owen High School in 2016. She was an enthusiastic participant of track, cross-country and JROTC.

Her college career spanned Furman University, AB Technical College and University of North Carolina – Greensboro. She was studying Kinesiology and aspired to work in physical therapy.

She will be missed for her wit, humor, intelligence, kindness, determination and her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her parents Paul and Anne Provost Drummond and her siblings Victor (fiancé Lexi Roberts), Ana (husband Zachary Joyce), her twin sister Joy, and loving extended family and friends spread across the United States.

In Grace’s memory we are establishing a scholarship for girls at Ebenezer Institute of Learning in Malawi Africa. It was Grace’s dream to travel there and volunteer for a time. This Christian elementary school was near and dear to her beloved grandmother, Mariella Provost.
Alternatively, memorial donations may be designated to support the mission of Black Mountain Counseling Center.

All contributions can be made through Black Mountain Presbyterian Church, 114 Montreat Road, Black Mountain, NC. 28711, designated for Grace Drummond Memorial or on-line at: https://secure.accessacs.com/access/oglogin.aspx?sn=95713&f=1034

The Drummond Family is so incredibly grateful for the outreach of love and support from our extended family, church community and friends far and wide.
