Hazel B. Swann, 85, of Swannanoa, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2022. She was known to many as Mamaw.

Mrs. Swann was born August 21, 1936 in Buncombe County to the late Lewis and Effie Bartlett. Hazel retired from Textron, formerly Excelo, with over 25 years of service, and she enjoyed bird watching. She was a Godly, Christian woman; and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend that will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Vaughn Swann; grandchildren, Aaron Price and Savannah Swann; four brothers and one sister.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Teresa Price (Tommy), Susan Swann, and John Swann; sisters, Virginia Rouse and Jean Montney; grandson, Kris Cline (Leya); step grandchildren, Brian Price (Robby), Chad Price, and Teonna Price; great grandchildren, Christian and Emilia Cline; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A private service will be held by the family at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Charles Duyck officiating.
