Obituary for Inez Jones Raines
Inez Jones Raines, 84, of Black Mountain passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022.
Mrs. Raines was born October 28, 1937 in Buncombe County to the late Oscar and Lily Jones. She retired from the Black Mountain Center and was a member of First Baptist Church, Black Mountain. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Raines; four brothers and one sister.
Inez is survived by her children, Renee Grooms (Brett) of Waco, TX; Michael Raines of Black Mountain and Tim Raines (Renee) of Panama City Beach, FL; brother, Oscar Jones, Jr. (Margaret) of Black Mountain; grandchildren, Lora, Ryan, Will, Lee, Hunter and Heath and three great grandchildren and one on the way.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery where burial will immediately follow. Rev. James Lamb will officiate.
