Obituary for Jimmie Sawyer
Jimmie Sawyer, 92, of Swannanoa, passed away January 1, 2021.
Mr. Sawyer was born September 18, 1928 in Buncombe County to the late Harry and Effie Bryant Sawyer. He was a veteran of the US Navy and attended Buckeye Cove Baptist Church. Jimmie retired from Brunner & Lay and continued his working career with Anchor Steam & Power until retirement.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jimmie Max Sawyer.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Birma Sawyer; sons, Timothy Sawyer (Teresa) and Tony Sawyer (Mitzi); grandchildren, Seth Sawyer and Cody Sawyer (Laura); and great grandchildren, Christian Sawyer and Addison Sawyer.
A graveside service will be held by the family at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
