Obituary for Johnny Edwards
Johnny Edwards, 84, of Swannanoa passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Mr. Edwards was born August 18, 1938 in Yancey County to the late Wess and Esta Autrey Edwards. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and retired from Kearfott. Johnny was an avid gardener, spending countless hours in his flower and vegetable garden.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Ricky and Bryan Edwards; five brothers and one sister.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy Smith Edwards; grandchildren, Hunter Edwards (Olivia), Nathan and Matthew Edwards; great grandson, Raymond Edwards and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:00pm at Mountain View Memorial Park with Rev. James Lamb officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 385 Tabernacle Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
