Obituary for Josephine "Jo" Keever
Josephine “Jo” Finch Keever, 90 of Black Mountain passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Mrs. Keever was born November 8, 1928 in Buncombe County to the late Ronald and Josephine Baker Finch.
Jo was a life-long member of First Baptist Church, Black Mountain where she taught Sunday School and served on various committees. She retired from the VA Hospital with over 25 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Keever; sisters, Mary Frances Bryan and Dorothy Mackney; grandchildren, Hannah and Jordan Dillingham.
Mrs. Keever is survived by her children, Len Keever (Cathy) of Dunn, NC. Joey Keever (Brenda) of Charlotte and Ann Dillingham (Fred) of Black Mountain; 10 grandchildren, Seth Keever (Teresa), Lauren Daniels (Heith), Jared Keever, Megan Murray (Sam), Adam and Luke Keever, Joshua Dillingham (Melena), Jonathan, Jay, and Jacob Dillingham, and 4 great grandchildren, Emmett and Molly Keever and Blake and Rylee Daniels.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church, Black Mountain. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to consider: First Baptist Church, Black Mountain.
