Obituary for Julius "Doug" Presnell
Julius Presnell, 69, known to family and friends as Doug, entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2022.
Doug was born on July 29, 1952 in Buncombe County to the late Julius R. and Beulah Presnell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Robin Presnell.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Tammy Penley (Travis); sister, Jean Huntsinger (Tommy); two half-sisters; a niece and several nephews, including a special nephew, Ronald Shelton; and several great nieces and nephews.
Doug proudly served in the US Navy. Doug will be forever remembered for his dedication for his county, his love of old coins and sports.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremation Services. A celebration of life service will immediately follow. Burial will be in the Western Carolina
State Veterans Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for their care and compassion.
