Obituary for Kim Hare Isley

Kim Hare Isley, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville.

Kim was born August 13, 1959 in Buncombe County to the late Melvin and Peggy Hare. She retired from Asheville Parks & Recreation and was a member of Bee Tree Christian Church. Kim was a devoted wife, loving mother and most excellent grandmother as her most beloved people called her “Lollie”. Her happy place was tucked way up on the hill of Lake James where she enjoyed long weekends with her favorite friends she called “my people”. During her spare time, Kim was busy being a survivor, a Hope Center cheerleader, and a confidant to many. Above all, Kim loved the Lord and while her time here was cut short, Heaven was needing a hero.

Kim is survived by her husband of 40 years, Fred Isley; daughter, Alicia Brockman (Ben); granddaughter, Payten Brockman all of Swannanoa; brother-in-law, Mike Isley (Sherry); niece, Jennifer all of Haywood County; and special dog, Fergie.

A celebration of life service will be held at New Hope Community Church at a later date. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Women’s Cancer Center in memory of Kim Isley.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all at Hope Women’s Cancer Center for loving her to the end. You are all loved and appreciated.
