Obituary for Lettie Dalton McMahan Harbin
Lettie Dalton McMahan Harbin, 94, of Swannanoa passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021.
Mrs. Harbin was born May 24, 1927 in Buncombe County to the late Jason and Daisy Harris Dalton. Lettie was a member of First Baptist Church, Swannanoa since 1947 where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher, and assisted in the office. She retired from Wells Fargo with over 40 years of service in the banking industry.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Perry McMahan and Carroll Harbin; sisters, Mallie Murphy, Nellie Varner, and Sallie Dalton and brothers, Willie and James Dalton.
Lettie is survived by her sister, Katie Pullium and husband, Earl; nieces and nephews, Billy Varner, Judy Murphy, James and Sandra Murphy, Emelie and Ronnie Ratcliff, Annette and Johnny Heath, Tommy and Sandra Murphy, and Philip and Melissa Pullium; and several great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, Swannanoa. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Swannanoa, Four Seasons Hospice or Marjorie McCune Center.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Four Seasons Hospice and the Marjorie McCune for their care during her declining health.
