Obituary for Lucy Chesanek
Lucy Chesanek, 87, of Black Mountain, passed away January 16, 2021.
Mrs. Chesanek was born March 6, 1933 in Norwich, CT to the late Hazel and Daniel Pierce, Sr. She moved to Black Mountain after getting married and was a resident for 63 years. Lucy worked at the Rehabilitation Center (formerly the TB Hospital) where she retired after 30 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Chesanek; and stepdaughter, Francis Breault.
Lucy is survived by her brother, Daniel H. Pierce, Jr. of Griswold, CT; sister, Shirley Trudeau of Griswold, Ct; many nieces and nephews; stepdaughter, Beverly Chesanek of Las Vegas, NV; and several grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Black Mountain Fire Department, 106 Montreat Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711 or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tammy Bunker who has been a like a daughter to Lucy and her sidekick for the last 23 years.
A receiving of friends will be Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services.
