Obituary for Lyle "Jay" Robinson
Lyle Jason “Jay” Robinson, 62, of Candler, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2021.
Jay was born December 1, 1958 in Buncombe County to the late Charles E. Robinson Sr. and Elizabeth Bell Robinson. He worked as an OTR truck driver for over 30 years until his recent retirement. Jay enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, friends and he loved football season. He was loving and kind hearted, he never knew a stranger, and he never missed a chance to be a jokester. Jay will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Norman Robinson and Tony Wayne Robinson.
Left to cherish his memory is his fiancé of 16 years, Karen Griffin; step daughter, Kendra Griffin of Candler; step sons, Steven Griffin (Savannah) of Candler and Kevin Griffin (Jaimie) of Leicester; sisters, Valerie Watson (Duane) and Rosetta Reynolds (Greg); brother, Charlie Robinson (Dana); grandchildren, Logan and Leilah Griffin; many nieces and nephews; and best friend, Ray Weaver and family.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
