Obituary for Mabel Patton Reese
Mabel Patton Reese, 91, of Black Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2021.
A native of Black Mountain, Mabel was born January 15, 1930 to the late Carl and Gertrude Patton. At an early age, Mabel moved to California for 20 years before returning home to Black Mountain in 1967. Mabel was a patient and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Mabel is preceded in death by her husband of 64 ½ years, Charles D. Reese; and siblings, Darius W. Patton, Karlene Cordell, Pansy Willet and Hazel Moore.
Mabel is survived by her sons, Ron Reese of Placitas, NM, Stan Reese (Brenda), Bryan Reese, and Mark Reese all of Black Mountain; and grandchildren, Carl Stanley Reese (Melanie) of Hendersonville and Ashley Brooks Reese of Chicago, IL.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at 11:00am at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery.
