Margaret Eloise Padgett, age 92, of Black Mountain, NC, died unexpectedly on September 19, 2022 at home.
Mrs. Padgett was born on August 30, 1930 in Black Mountain and lived her entire life there. Those that knew her well, remember fondly her humility, kindness and her love for God and people. She also loved all the different types of animals, watching them outside her kitchen window, and the beautiful flowers blooming all around.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Swannanoa. She was an avid Bible reader and loved sharing what she learned with others. She would talk to all she met and also wrote thousands of letters to comfort families who lost their loved ones in death. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jason and Alma Dotson, Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas Padgett; her son, Phil Thomas Padgett; and her seven siblings: two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving Mrs. Padgett is her son, Alan Padgett and grandson, James Padgett. She also has ten nieces and four nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
