Obituary for Max H. Penley
Max H. Penley, 94, of Black Mountain, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022.
Mr. Penley was born May 25, 1928 to the late Roscoe and Stella Penley. He retired from General Motors in Michigan and was very active in the Masons and Scottish Rite. He loved to work with wood making clocks, picture frames, and many other items.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Penley; and sons, Michael and Mark Penley.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter-in-law, Linda Penley; grandchildren, Heather Schoff (husband, Stephen) and Chris Penley; and great grandchildren, Kayla, Stephen, and Tori Penley and Emory Thomas.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will immediately follow with Rev. Randy Stone and Rev. Daryl Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
