Obituary for Oran Hamilton
Oran Hamilton, a lifelong resident of Black Mountain, NC departed this life on Tuesday November 2, 2021. Born on February 1, 1930, in Old Fort, NC to Leroy and Georgia Ann West Hamilton.
Oran is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Georgia Ann West Hamilton, three brothers, John Ben Hamilton (Ann), William Marvin Hamilton (Erlene), Roy Lee Hamilton (Peggy) all of Black Mountain, NC.
Oran was a member of Beulah Chapel F.B.H. Church, Asheville, NC.
Oran retired from Charles D. Owen Manufacturing Company in Swannanoa, NC and after retirement Oran was able to pursue his lifelong love for gospel music and ministered full time serving the Black Mountain, Swannanoa and Asheville Valley communities playing piano, singing and serving as Minister of Music for various churches.
Oran leaves loving memories to his nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, November 22, 2021, 11 AM at Mills Chapel Baptist Church, 328 Cragmont Road, Black Mountain, NC.
Interment, Old Oak Grove Cemetery.
