Obituary for Pansy G. Hooper
Pansy G. Hooper, 84, of Swannanoa, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020.
Mrs. Hooper was born March 16, 1935 in Buncombe County to the late James H. and Florence Stepp Greenlee. She was a member of Swannanoa Valley Independent Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the Juvenile Evaluation Center.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Hooper; sisters, Johannah Durham, Erlene Hamilton, Elizabeth Harper, Margaret Clinkscales, Fannie Carney and Dot Jones and brother, James Greenlee.
Pansy is survived by her daughter, Teri Hooper; son, Tony Hooper; sister, Precious Hill, brother, Ralph Greenlee (Betty) and four grandchildren, James Hezekiah, Cyrus, Devon, and Chaz Hooper and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00pm at Swannanoa Valley Independent Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Dimsdale officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
