Obituary for Raymond "Ray" N. Thompson
Raymond N. “Ray” Thompson, 78, of Candler, passed away December 7, 2019.
Mr. Thompson was born September 30, 1941 in Pinehurst, NC to the late Robert and Dorothy Thompson. Ray was a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the American Legion Post #55 and Sand Hill Baptist Church.
Ray is survived by his children, Eric Thompson, Sharon Thompson, and Cindy Adcox; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 19, at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Ricky McCarson officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
