Obituary for Richard B. Marett
Richard B. Marett, 70, of Old Fort, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019.
Mr. Marett was born February 1, 1949 in Buncombe County to the late Vaden and Juanita Penley Marett.
Richard was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army and was a member of First Christian Church. He owned and operated I-40 Auto where he was a master mechanic for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, David, Tom and John Marett.
Richard is survived by his sons, Travis (Samantha Mello) and Colton Marett; sisters, Joyce Jones and Judy McPeeters; brother, Julian Marett and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life service will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with burial immediately following.
At other times, the family will be at the home of Joyce Jones, 108 Rock Church St., Black Mountain, NC.
