Ricky Fitzgerald “Fritz” Bartlett went to be with Jesus on December 3, 2021 with his wife and family by his side. Ricky was a lifelong resident of Black Mountain, born on March 3, 1963. He was a graduate of Charles D. Owen High School in 1981 and then pursued his dream to become a fireman in 1984 and enjoyed his career until 2004 when he retired. After his retirement, Ricky enjoyed spending the remainder of his time with his family.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Annie Bartlett. Survived by Vanessa Bartlett and his children; Dustin Fitzgerald Bartlett and Brian Fitzgerald Bartlett, both of Marion, NC. Ricky was blessed to have two daughters-in-law, Ashley Mitcham Bartlett (wife of Dustin) and Sarah Muncy Bartlett (wife of Brian). Ricky’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Jace and Sutton Bartlett.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 6, 2021, 12:00 to 2:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow with Rev. Alan-Michael Sprinkle officiating.

A private graveside service will be held by the family.

At other times, the family will be at the Bartlett residence.
