Obituary for Ruby Peek (Hodge)
Ruby Hodge Peek, 88, of Black Mountain passed away Friday, November 4, 2022.
Mrs. Peek was born October 2, 1934 in South Carolina to the late Pete Thomas and Willie Mae Hodge. She retired from the Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center with over 20 years of service and attended Swannanoa Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hal Peek; sons, Charles and Mike Peek; grandson, Steven Jablonske; brothers, Clifton, Alvie, and Ernest Hodge and EW Moore and sisters, Sadie Church, Frances Brigman and Christine Nolan,
Ruby is survived by her grandchildren, Haley Peek, Amanda Peek, Scooter Porter, Hannah Peek and Christal Jablonske; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Junior Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremations Services with a Celebration of Life service immediately following.
Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
