Obituary for Sheila Kay West (Botkins)
Sheila Kay Botkins West, 65, of Swannanoa, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Sheila was born October 7, 1956 in Charleston, WV to the late Rodney and Velma Botkins. She retired from the Black Mountain Center as a CNA.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Stroupe of Swannanoa; twin sister, Shirley Massey of Swannanoa, sisters, Cynthia Raines and Debby Nichols both of WV; brothers, Michael Botkins of Asheville, Danny (Terri) and Dennis Botkins both of WV; beloved grandchildren, Jaden Stroupe and Zoe Richards; father to her son, Rudy Stroupe; nieces and nephews which she loved as if they were her own, Matthew (Robin), Miranda, Joie, Christina, Travis, Erin, Rhonda, Curtis, Latasha, Cara, Josh and Ben all of NC and WV; cousins, Kathy Comer and Terri Milam; and special friends, Jennifer Swofford and Bobby Johnston.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00am in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals and Cremation Services.
