Obituary for Sherry Lynn Marrs
Sherry Lynn Marrs, 66, of Black Mountain, North Carolina, died February 28, 2020, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.
Sherry was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to Leta Mae Hudson and Earl Eugene Marrs. She was a resident of Black Mountain for the past 49 years. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandson, and doing anything outdoors. Mike was her pride and joy with gardening.
Sherry was preceded in death by both of her parents, and by a brother, Donald Marrs.
She is survived by Mike Jones, her significant other and love of her life, her daughters, Melissa Cole of Valdosta, Georgia, and Stacy Cole of Black Mountain, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Kaleb Waycaster and his wife Natalie, Sydney Waycaster, Dylan Waycaster, and Mikayla Rice, a granddaughter of the heart; her great-grandchild Theodore Waycaster; her siblings, Larry Marrs (Ming) of California, Linda McRoberts and her husband Earl of Missouri, Rick Marrs of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service for Sherry and her daughter, Melissa Cole, will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00am at Mountain View Church with Rev. Brent Bolick officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
